Sweetie,
You are 15 years old, you should not worry about such things.

I'm about the same height and weight as you and I consider myself beautiful as should you!! I'm not "fat" and I'm not "skinny" I'm just right!

Keep in mind that muscle weighs more then fat, so you could weigh more because you are muscular or big boned.

If you are truly concerned about your weight, I suggest you talk to your doctor about your concerns, she/he will be able to help you safely lose weight.

As for getting in shape, I wouldn't even measure in lbs. because it's not an accurate measure of how fat a person is. I occasionally measure myself in inches to keep track of weight gain or loss, or as another suggested a body mass index scale might be helpful.

If it's other kids at school calling you fat, then you just need to ignore them, hold your head high and remember that you are a beautiful, young lady, and they obviously don't know a thing about beauty!

For someone who is about 5'3-5'4, a healthy weight range can be anywhere from 107 to 145lbs. 145lbs would be at the far end of the range--where large-framed people would fall. So even if you are "big-boned", you do still seem a bit overweight.

The best measure is to have a body fat percent analysis done. You can get a approximate idea if you buy a bodyfat % scale (mine cost only $20 from wal-mart). This way you can get an idea of how much you need to lose because tells you how much REGARDLESS of your body frame size.

EDIT: Another thing is you can take a hip-to-waist ratio to get an idea. Try this:

A healthy Body Mass Index for someone your age is 16.3 - 24.0. I used you height in inches 64'' and your weight 157.5, your BMI is 26.94. You are slightly overweight. But you're still young and still growing. Just eat healthy and do some sort of physical activity for 30 minutes 5 times a week. Don't obsess over your weight!

IT all depends are you toned ? Muscle weighs more then fat .so you could be okay at that weight if you are toned but if your not you may need to step up you exercise regime.I also would recommend Weight Watchers. My cousin lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers and she feels great she also walks 5 miles a day.

I was the same at 15 and my Dr. told me to try and cut weight so I would say do the same for health reasons.

It's very easy, take small steps, cut out soda, candy and join some sports teams at your school. It's a fun way to meet new people AND lose weight at the same time.

i'm now 21, 5'5 and weigh 115lbs and have been a vegitarian for 6 years :) contact me if you need more info. good luck :)

You are gorgeously curved. Do not concentrate on being skinny else you will never be happy and boys will think you are to conscious about yourself.
I myself prefer a curvy women rather than stick thin. There is something more womanly about it. Girls that are too thin do not have the sex appeal of a full woman.
I know you are only a girl still but it is your potential of having guys wanting you very much

Go here.
http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx

Calculate your BMI, and it will tell you a healthy percentage of how much fat you should have. I'm 17, 4-10, and 110, and I have 13% and that's pretty close to a great BMI.

Then go from there.

your ideal body weight should be 117 lbs for your age and height. To me it's not obese but you should try to exercise a little more and maybe eat more fruits and veggies. Drink Lots of water :) hope that helps

It doesn't matter how much you weigh. Do you like what you see? Do you exercise regularly? Do you eat healthy? Can you run a lap around a field and not faint? Then you are fine.

I wouldn't exactly call that "fat". To me, saying one is big boned is like saying "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy." Perhaps you should modify your diet (fat and calorie intake) and exercise more often. Good luck! :)
