The only thing I can think of, is that sometimes something can be explained simply, and if you over-explain it, or over-think it, it can be more confusing than it really needs to be.

Explain in a simple fashion. Sometimes, elaboration can cause more confusion.

I think it means the more people try to explain themselves, or their actions the more confusing they seem to others around them. You need to let people see you for who you are and not try to explain yourself to everyone.

Some people need the short easy explanation and if you keep explaining it you complicate it.
