Well you cant obtain those results by baking, the reason KFC tastes so good is because it is deep fried.

Here is a good Bake Chicken recipe

OVEN-FRIED CHICKEN

2 broiler-fryer chickens, cut in serving pieces
1 1/2 c. packaged cornflake crumbs (I make my own)
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
4 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. evaporated milk

Combine cornflake crumbs with salt and paprika in pie plate or shallow baking dish. Blend together mustard, vinegar, Tabasco sauce & Worcestershire sauce; stir in evaporated milk.
Line shallow baking pan with aluminum foil. Dip chicken pieces in evaporated milk mixture; roll immediately in seasoned cornflake crumbs. Place chicken pieces, skin side up, in foil-lined pan; do not crowd.

Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 1 hour or until tender. No need to cover or turn chicken while cooking. Makes 8 servings.

(4 pound) chicken, cut into pieces
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour for coating
1 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper to taste
2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
Take your cut up chicken pieces. Put the flour in a large plastic bag (let the amount of chicken you are cooking dictate the amount of flour you use). Season the flour with paprika, salt and pepper to taste (paprika helps to brown the chicken).
Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk then, a few at a time, put them in the bag with the flour, seal the bag and shake to coat well. Place the coated chicken on a cookie sheet or tray, and cover with a clean dish towel or waxed paper. LET SIT UNTIL THE FLOUR IS OF A PASTE-LIKE CONSISTENCY. THIS IS CRUCIAL!
Fill a large skillet (cast iron is best) about 1/3 to 1/2 full with vegetable oil. Heat until VERY hot. Put in as many chicken pieces as the skillet can hold. Brown the chicken in HOT oil on both sides. When browned, reduce heat and cover skillet; let cook for 30 minutes (the chicken will be cooked through but not crispy). Remove cover, raise heat again and continue to fry until crispy.
Drain the fried chicken on paper towels. Depending on how much chicken you have, you may have to fry in a few shifts. Keep the finished chicken in a slightly warm oven while preparing the rest.

You can buy Oven Fry at the store and it taste just like it is fried. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also think it makes a big difference on what kind of chicken you guy also. I happen to like the skinless boneless chicken breasts they sell pre froze in a 3 or 5 lb bag. I buy all brands and tha is the best in my opinion for oven frying or regular frying. You can also buy shake and bake but I think Oven fry gives it a more crisp outside.

Kentucky Fried Chicken

This chicken is fried in a pressure cooker.
12 pieces 1¼ hours 10 min prep

1 egg, beaten
2 cups milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon msg (monosodium glutamate-you can use Accent Flavor Enhancer)
6 cups Crisco cooking oil
2 frying chickens, with skin, each cut into 6 pieces

In a small bowl combine the egg and milk.
In a seperate bowl, combine the remaining four dry ingredients.
Dip each piece of chicken into the milk mixture until fully moistened. Roll the moistened chicken into the flour mixture until completely coated.
Pour the oil into the pressure cooker and heat over medium heat to about 400.
In groups of 4 or 5, drop the chicken pieces into the oil and lock the lid into place. When the steam begins shooting through the pressure release, set the timer for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, release the pressure according to manufactuer's instruct ions, and remove the chicken to paper towels or a metal rack to drain.
Repeat with remaining chicken.
TIDBIT: If you prefer not to use MSG, you may substitute an additional 1/2 TBS. of salt. Be aware however that using MSG produces the best clone of KFC's fried chicken.

Crispy Oven-Fried Chicken
4-6 servings 1½ hours 35 min prep

3 lbs chicken pieces (your choice, we prefer breasts or pick-of-the-chix)
1/2 cup olive oil, plus
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
kosher salt
1 cup self-rising flour, mixed with
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne (more or less)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (more or less)

Preheat oven to 425.
Pour 1/3 cup olive oil on 10x15 baking sheet that has been covered with tin foil.
Spread evenly.
Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the 1/2 cup olive oil and lemon juice, mixing well.
Sprinkle the chicken pieces with kosher salt, then add to the olive oil/lemon juice mixture, coating well and allowing to to marinate for about 30 minutes.
Drain each chicken piece a bit before rolling in the prepared flour mixture.
Coat well, placing skin side (or meaty side, as I always skin my chicken) down on the oiled baking sheet.
Allow space between chicken pieces for crispness.
Place in hot oven and immediately reduce oven temperature to 400.
Bake for 30 minutes, then turn chicken pieces over.
Reduce oven temperature again to 350 and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until done.
