Hi, I have 2 adults cats male 2 yrs, and female calico 4 yrs; recently inherited the family's other female calico 10; It's been about 1 week. the male is more curious. The 10 yr old, we keep seperate from the other cats for awhile, I know it takes about 2-3 weeks, especially being older. The older one actually took to the move quite nicely. It's just interacting with the cats. The screen door we can't do because we rent. do you have other suggestions. I cant give up because it's my husbands mothers cat she passed 2 weeks ago. Thank you for any ideas

Its just a matter of time for them to adjust to one-another. Please be patient. That idea worked with my Stimpy. Good Luck.....

I would suggest a baby gate and tack a sheet up so they think that they can't jump over it. Also you should pay more attention to your 2 original cats so that they do not feel betrayed by you bringing in someone new....

sounds such as you have completed the splendid stuff so some distance. they might hiss at one yet another yet I doubt they're going to combat. they might hiss and take a swipe at one yet another - the two the older lady or the male will attempt to be dominant. 2 weeks is long sufficient to maintain them seperate. they have smelled the presence of one yet another for the period of that ingredient, so thats had to take a number of the stress off.
