Ive just joined a gym and im fimilar with the equipment and ect, just im not sure how much im meant to be doing and for how long im a health size 12 and just need to tone up, i can manage 45 mins but not sure am i geting bulky rather than slim

I use traedmill for 40 mins, cross trainer for 10, rowing machine 5 mins and 5 mins on steppper

I would say just go for 45 minutes on 1 machine, then use another machine the next day. Try to do this at least 6 days per week. Go at a quick pace with some resistance! Its a work out, not a relaxout! You will NOT bulk up using these. Also- I suggest you add in some light weight training as well. Again- its very unlikely you will bulk up, what you will more likely do is tone up and boost your metabolism. Do the cardio piece first and then lift. For women, I would do 2 sets at a weight you can lift 12-14 times per set. Do upper body one day, lower the next. Try to get in 5 or so different machines.

Cardio won't make you bulk up. You should do some weight lifting to help tone up and build muscle. Unless you are training excessively with weights, you won't bulk up. Doing upper and lower body weights once or twice a week is good. Cardio 2 or 4 times a week is good, for a minimum of 30 minutes per session.

the 45 min on the treadmill is good, but the 10 and 5 min arent doing a thing for you. cardio work outs must be done for at minimum 30 min

Talk to a trainer that works there. Typically gyms offer 1 or 2 free sessions with a trainer upon sign-up. But if not, I'm sure that someone who works there can advise you briefly on what you should be doing to reach your goals. Good luck!
