My daughter has to be one of the best girls in the history of toddlers. She's 1.5 years old and has the best disposition of any child I've ever been around. She's clearly a product of my good genetics :-)

The problem is that my wife is pregnant again. Now, I have seen from my nephews that raising a boy is a whole new ball game. They're feisty, and rambunctious. They're a lot to handle.

How does one cope with young boys?

LOL!!! I have a two year old son who is an angel. He has always been the perfect baby- slept through the night since 6 weeks old, almost never cried, etc. Even as a toddler, he communicates well and is very well behaved. My husband and I just decided it's time to start trying for baby number two and I'm terrified b/c I've had it so easy w/ him. I'm afraid he or she will have colic, throw fits, etc. I guess gender really isn't the issue and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's thought/ worried about this.
Congrats to the new addition to your family!! : )

I believe it is all in how you raise your children. I have twin sons who are 2 1/2 years old and am expecting boy #3 march 29th. Yes, my boys have energy, what toddler doesn't but i can take them to resturants where they will sit the entire meal without any problems, i can take them shopping, i never have to worry. Just be consistant with the kids, and firm when needed....and im sure no matter the sex of the baby you will have a well behaved child. :-) good luck and congrats on the new baby.

Your daughter is only 1.5 years old. Don't count on her being a total angel for much longer. I thought the same thing at one point with my girls...and then it all changed. Girls may not be as active as some boys, but watch out when the attitude starts and goes on for many years. All in all, on average...boys are much easier.

i'm the opposite of you. i have an angel that a boy and i am now pregnant with a girl. it scares me to death because i would have taken 5 boys over 1 girl. i guess we'll just both learn to deal with it. even if your wife does have another girl, it's not a guarantee that she will be anything like the first.

You will love having a son! I have a 2 year old girl now and pregnant with a boy, to be honest, I wanted a boy first. I raised my two little brothers and they were angels--- My little girl is not so bad--but she doest listen to me, she listens to her father--- I am now hoping that the boy will listen to me - yaknow---momma's boy/ daddy's girl--- You will do fine, their all blessings and its deffinately how you raise them! Congrats and good luck!
