I am getting married @ a lake. This is the 2nd marriage for both of us, so this is to be very small, and intimate with just immediate family. My son is going to "give me away," but he is going to stay by my side the whole time. Instead of a best man, my fiance's daughter will be with him. We are having a blending of the sands ceremony rather than a unity candle, and the children will be involved. What is the proper order to perform the ceremony? I will walk to my fiance to one song, then the ceremony will start. I plan to have one more song, either during the blending of the sands, or after. But once I walk down, I'm stumped as to where we go from there. Please help. Thank you.

Traditionally the blending of sands/lighting the unity candle would be done after the vows. It is an excellent time to play a song in that b/c otherwise everyone is just watching you pour sand. As you are wishing to involve the children, you definitely need to work out with the officient what exactly you were hoping for the children to do. It will be near impossible for the 4 of you to hold the 2 vases while pouring them into one.

Since its a small wedding and 2nd one for both of you, it doesn't have to be strict and traditional, but here is the traditional order of a ceremony.

Processional
Bridal Processional
Opening Prayer
Introduction and Charge to Couple
Declaration of Intent
Scripture Reading
Exchange of Vows
Blessing of Rings
Pronouncement of Marriage
Lighting of Unity Candle
Blessing on the marriage
Presentation of Couple
Recessional

Hope this helps!

Have a song, then walk down the aisle. The officiant will give a little welcome. After that, it's pretty much up to the officiant. You need to talk with this person about the ceremony structure.

Other than that, the sand ceremony happens when the unity candle is normally done, after the vows.

i'm getting married in June yet so some distance that's what we've. I havent desperate what the marriage social gathering will walk to yet, possibly something from the eighty's. uncertain however. Seating, Reception will in simple terms be track we adore (classic rock, oldies, some extra modern rock and ska possibly) i'm walking down the aisle to "Kashmir" from Led Zeppelin, the easily track, no longer the instrumental. i'm unlikely to take something faraway from it! My fiance and that i will leave to "you're My perfect buddy" from Queen. i'm determining between "you're so appealing to me" from Joe Cocker or "She" from Elvis Costello for me and my dad. Me and my fiance will certainly dance to "Unchained Melody" from Righteous Brothers becaise i like that track, yet we could swap it up and injury in with something else. i presumed approximately "beautiful ingredient" from warm Chocolate lol we are the two youthful and we would opt for to have exciting on our wedding ceremony day, advantageous its sentimental yet i opt for to be chuffed and not be crying each and all of the time. desire this could supply some stable suggestions!
