Depends on the type of beer. For most domestics(American) around 32to 34F. For most imports and darker beers more like 42 to 45F.

36-42 lower then 36 you run the risk of slushing

anything below 42 we are told, but everyone in the us likes it just above freezing

36-38f Just keep it above freezing and below 40f.
