caffeine may be temporary comfort but you'll crash again you need to eat healthier. I mean iron rich foods like spinach and foods like oranges for vitamin c and oatmeal for fiber. The better you eat the more energy your body has. Eat very healthy meals today, drink plenty of water, throw in a cup of coffee or a red bull earlier in the day. Go to bed a little earlier.

Since I can't drink coffee (the warm milk makes me sleepy, and I refuse to drink my cafe black), my tried and true method of staying awake is a 20 oz. Pepsi (or Mountain Dew) and a couple of nice, ripe bananas. I eat this about every three to four hours or so. To me, it's like a jolt of crack-like energy.
Try it! If all else fails, at least you are getting some fruit in your system that your body will turn into energy later on.

You might have chronic fatigue or be suffering from depression both will keep you from staying awake or being alert. You need to go to a doctor for meds and proper evaluation. Thee won';t be any suggestions on here that'll help, it's a chemical imbalance in the brain and the culprit is serotonin. To much serotonin you have hyper activity or to little you can't stay awake or be alert.

stretch for a few minutes, and a few aerobic exercises, nothing major just a little something to get your blood pumping. Try not to consume alot of sugar early in the morning because it will just bring you down and really tired in a few hours. If you need sugar try eating something that contains glucose but releases it slowly in your system. This is not only good for staying awake but great from weight management too.
