Because Christians are greedy, even their faith is just to get a reward.

The chances of this being real is... well... not very good at best. Actually, they are much worse than that! So that is why some people think it's for money though it may very well be for other causes. Either way, it's sad because many of us already know they are wrong but they will carry it on for a long time I'm sure...
As far as TV Evangelists, I doubt you'd get much argument from anybody about their motives. I am a Christian and the only reason I watch TV Evangelists at all is when I need a good laugh. But in the end, what they do is pretty sad in most cases. There are some legit ones it seems though.
Anyway, they are all people which makes them all sinners. But God loves them all either way! He loves even me!
Be blessed!

As a Christian, I must say that the TV Evangelists are questioned about their motives by many Christians as Greed is a moral sin. As far as the "bones" of Jesus, there is not a legitimate archaeologist that agrees that these bones were from the tomb of Jesus. I have read several news reports and all of the archaeologists interviewed (Christian or not) said this claim was for monetary gain and was not substantiated.

Why is it that debunking an old ancient fable is considered selfish gain.
What would you classify yourself as?
A BELIEVER? I don't think so with that beginning of your question.
A fable!
You have nothing.
You feel good about it do you?
Yes the TV evangelists are out for cash.
Yes the scientist is out for recognition,GLORY, if you will.
Each has his failing--
The world measurement system.
Money and power and glory.
I believe.
My belief will not be shattered.
He will never find the grave of Jesus.
No one else will either.
Mary possibly.
She did not resurrect, she wasn't God.

Sir, you seem bitter against Christianity, and possible for a good cause, as there are many so called Christians out there that are false, but nonetheless, does not mean that it does not exist.
Some evangelist are out for their own selfish desires, and do not care about Christ and the Gospel. ( sad)
Yet, there are a * few* well meaning evangelist that God holds dear to him, they may not be yelling on TV, they may be your neighbor silently praying every night .
Anyway, to answer your question...The ones that have found the bones, will be questioned, believe me!!!
I think it's rather exciting, but I don't fall for everything just because someone says "Jesus" on it.
God will reveal himself truthfully in the last days, and He will be seen from every part of the world, not just here and there.

It is insanely small-minded to dismiss something so well documented as the Gospel as a fable. Why ask a question like this which only shows bigotry and hatred for people of faith?
A part or YOUR stereotype is thinking that all people of faith are ridiculous windbags like the TV evangelists. Most pastors I know work 7days a week, don't have any real quitting time like us regular working folks, and do not get paid anywhere near what they are worth. Our pastor drives a car that is in worse shape than MINE, and I did not think that was possible.
Please open up your mind and stop your senseless hatred for people of faith. God gave you a better brain than that!

First off, I agree with you about televangelists. Their greedy ways are a shame to Christianity.
However, I have yet to see any "debunking" being done. So, the guy who directed "The Titanic" claims to have found the bones of Jesus and His family. I'd like to see him prove this claim. Uh, do you know where we can get any of Jesus' actual DNA to test with? Or any of the other "family members" btw?
NO????
Oh, well...
Did you know that "the tomb of Jesus" gets "found" every so often, all over the world? It's been "found" in India, in Japan, in the south of France, and in Glastonbury, just to name a few.
Nice job of "debunking", for sure!!

I never considered debunking an old ancient fable as a selfish gain. Who does? Anyone who does might as well believe in the tooth fairy...

Men have screwd up the works and teachings of Jesus since he died. Men have warped religion and yes the ones on TV are of the worst. Does it matter if Christ died on the cross or in a villiage in france with his wife and children? What matters is his message. Weather you are a beleiver or not what he taught was all good and to still be so hotly debated 2007 years later must mean somthing. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. We need to just all get along and learn to love. But I beleive we have past the point of no return and like History repeating itself over and over again our society will die at the hand connected to our arm. Sad, it surley is.

Finding some bones is not monetary gain. Making money off a (already proven) fraud is monetary gain.
It is a historic fact not a "Old ancient fable"
Your a bit paronoid !!!!!!!!!

What "fable" is being debunked here? The "finding of the bones" is an absolute fabrication, my friend.
James Cameron and his film collaborators are not archaeologists. Read the reactions of REAL archaelogists to this sensationalist story -- they all say that this "bones" thing is a total fake.
