no u just ask 4 "layers" and they do them...layers frame your face and look really nice on an oval face shape..

It definately adds more body, shape and volume, but also makes it harder to look after. Having a straight, all one length cut , imo, can be boring and will wiegh the hair down. Short layers can make naturally straight-ish hair go curly (if you dont blow dry) . It's alot harder to maintain the condition of the hair when youve got layers, and very annoyingly, if you don't straighten your hair before you go to bed, you can sometimes wake up with the different layers sticking out in all different directions. Longer and fewer layers are easier to work with and are good if you have straight hair, whilst more, and shorter layers add alot more volume. Sorry for rambling on!

It allows your hair to have more body. Alot of peopel like the look it gives your hair. The layers gives the illusion of thicker hair and gives it more texture. I have my hair in long layers, I don't always suggest you do this first. Its a slight dramatic change due to more time in fixing it. To curl it it will take longer for sure. If you go with short layers it will give it alot of body and your ends will curl out on there on. I personally love layers. I hope I helped!

it depends on the type of hair and cut.

layers are put in to take out some of the weight of hair to increase texture and give you some body. layers can look very nice but can also look naff at times.

Layers add voume, shape and direction. The more layers the more versatile your style will be, layers enable you to create lots of different looks out of your one cut.

It tends to give your hair more volumn and makes it look interesting and trendy especially if you have slices of colour put in some of the layers.

If you have thick hair it makes it a lot easy to look after and makes your hair look sleeker an shiner and if you got fine hair it can make it look like you got more body in the cut so works well on all hair types..

Depends on your hair type. If you have fine hair it will simply make your hair look even thinner than before. Layers really only work well for thicker hair.
