If you're already late then you shouldn't have to wait to retest. I would buy another one and take it first thing in the morning. Your urine is most concentrated then and more of the HCG hormone will be available for the test to tell if you're truly preg or not. If still inconclusive, call your gyn for a blood test...and remember even a faint line is a positive result on the HPT!!!

The only way to get a positive result on a pregnancy test is if you have detectable levels of hcG (the pregnancy hormone). There are some uncommon diseases that can cause hcG to appear in your urine, however these are very rare!! So, you are pregnant. The negative is false. The level of sensitivity was either lower in the the second test that you took or your body didn't have time to concentrate the hormone in your urine. (Which is why it is recommended to test first thing in the morning.) My advice: Go to your doctor, have a blood test done, and prepare for a baby. Hope that helps.Best wishes and take care.

Those digital tests aren't as sensitive as the ones with the lines. The line is probably kind of light, right? This just means that there is not enough hcg in your urine yet to read positie on those digital tests. I bet if you test again in a couple days it will read positive. Congratulations mommy!!!! Schedule a doctor's appointment and that give you the reassurance you need.

I wouldn't bother buying another home test, especially since they are so expensive. At this point the best thing to do would be to go to your doctor or a local free women's clinic. Getting tested by professionals is the only way that you can be sure of the result.

You don't get a false positive tests, but you can get false negatives. The cost doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the test, all of them can have faults. Go to your doctor and have them do a blood test. Then they will confirm everything for you.

I was told a while ago that you can get false negatives on a HPT, but not positives. That being said though, some medications can interfere with them. So, are you taking anything else? If I were you I'd take one more, then go to the doctor.

if you are more than 2 weeks late, just go to the doctor. tell your doctor about the 2 test you took, he will probably give you a blood test. that way there is no question.

Very very very rare to get a false posetive. Its common to get a false negative. It may be that you used the second one incorrectly. Re-test or make an appointment at your doctors and they can give you a pregnancy test.
Good luck!

Take a few more test because a pregnancy test is only like 99% positive. it cant always be right, so keep taking it no matter what and you'll get an answer pretty soon.
