I did my taxes online yesterday and I just wanted to know generally when I can be expecting my check. My boyfriend agreed then when I get my check we can definitly get a puppy!!!!!! So needless to say I am very anxious to get my check!!!!

According to this chart, you should expect your direct deposit on 3/9. The IRS Where's My Refund page will update you on your status usually on Wednesdays---keep checking back for a direct deposit date.

If you efiled yesterday and requested direct deposit, and no problems are found with your return, your refund should be deposited into your account next week on Friday. If you requested that a check be mailed to you, it would be mailed the Friday after that, so you'd get it about 3 weeks from now.

If you efiled and are getting direct deposit you should see your state refund within 1 week and federal within approx 2 weeks. If you are expecting a paper check then 3-4 weeks.

Why do you need your "boyfriend" to approve a puppy? Stand on your own two feet and live YOUR life for YOURSELF.
Anyhow, if you're getting a paper check in the mail after e-filing, you should see it in 3 or 4 weeks.

Go to irs.gov and on the left side there is a link that says, "Where's my refund?" Click on this link. You will have to know the social security number of the first person on the return and the filing status and the dollar amount of the return. When you enter all of the information, it will tell you when to expect your money.

i did my taxes online last night as well. late last night starting around midnight then end around 1am. i already got an email from HR Block. it's going to be in my account through direct deposit in 8-14 days. also, go to http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html and you can check there.............although i think it takes the IRS website longer to update than to actually get your refund. you can also check on the website of the company where you did your taxes on.

You're going to have to wait a really, really, really long, long, long, long, time to get a puppy (line from Six Days/Seven Nights)..................................
You dont get your tax return back. You get a refund check.
Assuming you signed your return, and there are no other obvious omissions on the return, it usually takes 6-8 weeks before you receive your check. Next time e-file.
Or go to those tax prep places that offer your refund back instantly. In those places,
all you are doing is getting a loan from them, and they take out a little "vig" for themselves.
