If you believe that (a) God created the Cosmos, then you will be faced with a conflict in regard to those candles, since approximately 6000 or so will be required if you use the Old Testament as your source. If instead you care to believe that God produced the Universe via the Big Bang, then you will need an amount between 14,000,000,000 and 18,000,000,000 candles, but those numbers are only somewhat accurate scientifically and appropriate only if God suddenly commenced creating immediately upon his emergence from nothingness or Ain, if you use Qabalism as your informant; in that case, God spent several eons contemplating creativity before he actually began, and then he might possibly have had several failures until ultimately he succeeded (presumably) in manifesting this one; thus, you would need a few more billions of candles if you accept that concept. Then again, there are those who insist that God is eternal, in which instance, you will have a definite problem amassing the correct number of candles. Lastly, if the atheists have arrived at the logical conclusion regarding god, you can just forget the candles entirely; for simplicity's sake, you may want to accept that cost-effective theory!!
