And they know this by a name inscribed on a casket? I have the words of good brave men that went to their death rather than say that Jesus wasn't the Christ. That He was killed in the most horrible manner known to mankind, was laid in a rich man's tomb and was raised on the third day. And you have name scratched on a casket... Drop everything the truth is now known... (Like the sarcasm, I have been working on it) Jim

While I am certain that Jesus of Nazareth died and never rose again, I would need substantial proof that his bones have actually been found. On the other hand, if such proof could be given, that would show once and for all that the resurrection story is just another bit of the hooey that it is.

There is not a chance of Jesus' remains ever being found as His body was resurrected and He is looking down upon us in this body that they claim to have found the bones of. The godless of this world come up with all sorts of garbage to make their claims but in the end the earth is the Lord's and He will have the last word concerning this world and every inhabitant in it. Judgement is coming for all and it will not be pretty.

The only problem to their elaborate hoax is that the original Jewish professor who worked on the site, Amos Kloner, has already come forward to expose the claims as sheer nonsense.

I disagree with the bible. I don't think Jesus rose from the dead etc.etc.
However, I don't know how they will be able to identify the bones beyond reconstructing what the person may have looked like.

The bones in question were found twenty years ago if not more. However, it wasn't until relatively recently that someone noticed in a catalogue of artifacts how these particular names came together in a way that indicated a POSSIBLE relationship with the characters of the NT.
Watch the documentary. See who says what, and with what qualifications they speak. Then make up your own mind for yourself.

Since Jesus rose again I think He needed His bones, therefore they could not be His no matter what people say....but if they have found other people mentioned in the Bible wouldn't that prove the Bible is real?

I expect it's just another hoax, but even if it's true it's not particularly interesting. The world must be littered with the bones of so-called 'prophets'.

As a historian I view it as complete crap. It just doesn't happen in archaeology that evidence suddenly appears that neatly fits in with what people would like to find.
