not fair to state your wrong opinion, you dont know much about boxing, two men knew the risks, (could of happened to benn) and if you ask mcclellan did benn ruin him he would disagree with you

No knock on Benn as a boxer, but it was a clash of heads that caused the injury to McClellan. Horrible tragedy, one of the saddest nights in Detroit boxing history. McClellan was at the pinnacle of the sport one moment, and gone from even a normal life the next. Heartrending. .

Gerald McClellan was the name of the boxer. G-Man - was that he became too eager to make Benn his fourth straight 1st round KO victim. Instead, Benn managed to survive the onslaught, as well as an 8th round knockdown, and come back through his own power and questionable tactics to end Gerald's career, midway through the tenth round. Collapsing in his own corner as a result of a blood clot in his brain, Gerald ended his boxing career in a British hospital, fighting for his life.

Mcellann was his name and in boxing fighters know what the risks are and it could of easy bn Nigel.Benn has to live with what happened in that fight for the rest of his life and i am sure he was devasted what happened. Also Michael Watson who was hurt by Chris Eubank ,Benn is a good friend to Watson in lots of ways.
Accidents happen but not very much in boxing thank goodness,so in a way Mcellann helped ruin his own life.

It was Michael Watson, but why do you say Nigel Benn ruined his life...surely anyone who participates in boxing knows the possible results due to the nature of the sport. To blame the opponent is being extremely harsh, he has had to live with any guilt since it happened.
