get nexus, its works really good. and the condititioner can be washed out after 3 minutes or left in, so try leavin it in for a few washings and see if you notice a change. i did after the first washing, my hair was dry and dead but not as bad as you make yours sound.

Is it dyed?

Sounds like you fried your hair.
I'm in that stage now...it sucks.
It's almost impossible to get it better once it gets bad like that. The only thing you can do is prevent it from happening again.

Wash (shampoo) your hair every 3 days.
If you have super oily/greasy hair. Wash it with conditioner only between shampoos washs.
There are some vitamins you can take to help your hair grow out healthyer. Biotin, B-6, and prenatal vitamins are good.
Take care of yourself, eat right, exercise, get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water.
Trim your hair regularly.
Don't over do it with products.

John Frieda has a "light reflecting" conditioner that comes in a tube. It is thick like hand cream and is very good. Also Dove has an "anti-frizz cream" that comes in a spray bottle.
