To the people below who call me a moron! I did 2 tours in Viet Nam and was seriously wounded and I have several medals for fighting for my country. I said nothing about any missionary's or good doers. This would be for people 18-30 years old that have never been here before and in good physical condition! If other Viet Nam Vets did it they can TOO!!!!

There are millions of natural born citizens that don't do a damn thing for this country. Yet we would ask someone else to do what they don't. Absurd.

The people that come to this country LEGALLY come here to work and pay taxes while many of us live off the land.

As you can see the illegal immigrants are still coming over. Our government is not putting a stop to this because these people work for low wages and is good for the businesses.

Yes they should, maybe you might have some good fighters and a good chance then to win that war. Unlike your big Special Forces that are completely Usless aside from the bigmouths...typical american...All Talk. Hey its only 30 million Iraqis, and the mighty US cant beat em....i sure know that there are a lot of Canadians ...33 million of em that are no longer of afraid, of the US army nor do they take them serious as super power after witnessing the blunders in Iraq.,, and if the Canadians can see that....so can the rest of the world. I wouldnt be the least suprised to see the USA being invaded by a coalition of the smart to stomp out the stupid.

There is an expediting on naturalization of immigrants who join the military already in place, however, I don't think it should be any more mandatory for an immigrant to join the military as it is for a citizen. If military was mandatory for all people, then yeah of course. It wasn't mandatory in the 1920's when floods of people were comming from Europe and hundreds of thousands were dying in WWII. Besides, there's are obvious language and loyalty issues with immigrants.

You are a moron. Why not just bring back the draft while you're at it.

So what you're saying is, my missionary cousin who does so much good in Senegal wants come back to the U.S. for our family reunion in July, but first she needs to go slap on some camo and guns? Or my other missionary cousin in Brazil? I don't think so. Or maybe I should tell my family in Autralia to enlist now so that they can come to my wedding next summer? Your a quick one! Are you asking yourself at this very moment..."Why did I ask that question?" Because I'm asking myself, should we be bring back banishing? Because then I would make sure you were located and banish you. You don't deserve to be a citizen of this wonderful country! It's people like you who give us a bad name.

That would sure kill tourism to the US. Come to DisneyWorld!, but first, a 6 month tour of duty in Iraq. Also, I just don't see how my 70 year old Scottish grandma would want to carry those heavy weapons just to visit me.

Ridiculous.

Firstly, do you really want a military of people who may be unsuited and cannot speak English adequately?

Secondly, there are many Americans who should have to prove that they want to be Americans and appreciate their own country.
