Even you are not Catholic, you are similar to the Catholic because both of you does not read the bible well .

THE bible did not say that the world is flat, the Roman Catholic believe it is flat, it was only discovered by the Catholic this 15Century that the world is round.

The bible says that the world is circle, read this verse: Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
See that verse of the bible,"circle of the earth".
That is from the book of Isaiah of old testament.

THE bible does not also say that being a gay is wrong.

YES, the bible says Adam and eve is the first people, dinasour existed before Adam and Eve; read this verse: Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Gen 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Gen 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likenes

See!!! it is clear that God created first the animals. One day of God is equevalent to 1000 years of man.(2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.)

Pray to God to let you understand the bible. God LOve us, he is waiting, searh for the truth. There is only one true religion.

The answer to your main question is "YES" definitely. Most of what you state above is incorrect. The Bible does not say the world is flat. The Bible does not say being gay is wrong. The dinosaurs did exist after Adam and Eve, some scientists today are mistaken. Love is not jealous. People who are jealous do not have real love. Eating meat or not eating meat on any given day including Friday is not a Bible teaching.

You need a teacher to help you straighten a lot of things out about reality.

I think that even if you dont agree with everything in the bible that you are still Catholic. If you celebrate all of the sacraments such as going to church - even if not all the time - that you are catholic. I dont believe in everything that the bible says but i still turn to God when I need help in situations. Even if some of the stuff in the bible isnt true.. thats becuase the Bible was written by MAN even though its Gods word so cultural and other beliefs will be show through but the fact that everyone knows the world is a sphere proves that some things arent correct but not blieveing in them wont make you not catholic... Im sure the Priest and other Catholic figures dont go around thinking that the world looks like a pancake.

Not everything in the Bible is to be taken literally. The Bible is not a science book or a history book. It is a book that describes God's relationship with His people.

The Bible does not say being gay is wrong, but it does say that sex outside of marriage (gay or straight) is wrong.

Love is not jealous. If you love someone, you trust them. If you do not trust them, you do not love them. People who are involved that show jealousy are not showing love.

Not eating meat on Friday is a form of self-sacrifice. We sacrifice voluntarily so we can become stronger for those times when the sacrifice is not voluntary.

The first thing you should do is find out what the Bible actually does say. Most of the things you mentioned are not in the Bible. The next thing you need to do is find out what the Church actually teaches, which you seem to have little understanding of. Nothing the Church teaches can conflict with the teaching in the Bible because the Catholic Church compiled the Bible, and obviously did not include in its book anything that was in conflict with its own God-given teaching.

The bible does condemn homosexuality. It is the SIN of homosexuality, not the person. This is because the person always has the chance to change. Read this article: http://www.catholic.org/views/views_news.php?id=22970&pid=0

Do not be a "cafeteria" Catholic. It's not good for you. Study and learn your faith. If there are things you are confused or unsure about, find out what the Church teaches and why. Pray over it if you need, talk to your priest. Knowing your faith is the best thing you can do for yourself.

God bless.

The Catholic Church does not take the stories of creation in the Bible literally. Catholics believe the book of Genesis tells religious truth and not necessarily historical fact.

One of the religious truths is that God created everything and declared all was good.

Catholics can believe in the theory of evolution. Or not. The Church does not require belief in evolution.

On August 12, 1950 Pope Pius XII said in his encyclical Humani generis:

The Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part of men experienced in both fields, take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter - for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God.

Here is the complete encyclical: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/hf_p-xii_enc_12081950_humani-generis_en.html

The Church supports science in the discovery of God's creation. At this time, the theory of evolution is the most logical scientific explanation. However tomorrow someone may come up with a better idea.

As long as we believe that God started the whole thing, both the Bible and modern science can live in harmony.

With love in Christ.

I am a catholic and it is vary possible not to agree with everything that is written in the bible, I to believe in Jesus and his teachings, I also believe in our heavenly father, I also believe that there are many many catholics that use common sense, and logic in what their beliefs are. we all simply have traditions, and ritual that we like to follow that's all.

Not believing Gods Holy Word means you are still worldly and not one of His. Ask God to forgive you for your un-belief.
Don't ask a priest to forgive you, ask Christ Jesus directly through prayer.
God Bless You....Peace.

It's interpretation and what was going on in the world at the time.

Each person has to make that decision for themselves.
