I want to get married at my BF's father's summer house on a lake. They have a small island about 20 feet from there beach that they have turned into a garden. I want to be on the island at sunset while everyone watches from the beach. We will be close to home so everyone can attend and not spend as much money and yet still have a beautiful ceremony. Now I just have to wait till he purposes and see if he will go for that.

Hmmm I dunno yet on a definite location but I've always dreamed of getting married in a church that overlooks the ocean or is right next to a beach that I can see the beach when I look out the window...it has to be a pretty big church too with huge doors that open up....if I can't find that I'd settle for getting married on a secluded beach somewhere with just closest friends and family.

Lake Como, Italy. I have never been somewhere so beautiful, romantic and peaceful. Of course, now that George Clooney and all his Hollywood lot spend so much time there, it'll probably be out of my price range by the time me and the Other Half get round to getting married!

Do you think George would lend us his place if we ask ever so nicely?

Porto Venere Italy...the whole city is built practically on this cliff but as you walk the the highest point which overlooks the med sea there is this old stone church which is simply amazing...

porto venere is by st tropez...you have to take a boat ride to get there..but its truly a slice of heaven

I'm going to Cancun and Cozumel for my honeymoon but I don't think I'd like to get married anywhere but home. I would want my friends and family - those closest to my heart- to be right there with me. And when you have destination weddings, unless you can really afford to foot the bill for everyone, not all people will be able to attend.

When I got married, I went to the West Indies and got married on the beach! It was magical and having the sea lapping up behind you, letting you forget about all your troubles at home. Good luck with your future life!

I've love to get married right where the water washes up against the shore on a beach at sunset.

harry's lookout ---- its on top of a cliff overlooking one of the world's most beautiful beaches (i think) and the ocean --- its a clearing in the middle of rainforest --- grassed with shelters --- a very popular spot to get married --- and then you can take a flight up the coast to the whitsundays and the barrier reef for a honeymoon on a charter yacht
