I have a friend who is in a relationship where it is clear it is one sided. She is alwatys intitiating meetings with him, said I love you first and they barely see each other. Why are some people so blind and why are some men cruel enough to let it go on?

That's the way it goes sometimes, it sounds like your friend is what I call swimming in the sea of denial. She probably knows deep down inside that this guy doesn't want her, but you know how people always seem to want what they can't have. and some guys let it go on because basically the girl keeps doing it and she allows it to go on. He lets her do it because he can. Tell your friend that she should just forget about this guy and move on. She is wasting her time with a guy who doesn't give a damn about her.

It is so true that "love is blind". Especially when you are the one "in" the relationship. People on the outside always see the relatinoship more in it's "true" form than those actually in it. Love does crazy things to your perception of the truth of your own relationships. But that same person who is "blind" to their own relationship, can see the faults and problems in everyone else's. It sucks, but that's how it is.

u know mate! girls r shallow! they don see how well the guy feels or how he treats her. they see the guys external appearance and money and son on..so materialistic. those girls will never be happy! belive me! u can see her in her life miserable under one guy all the time who can jus use her for his own satisfaction as another material. So don worry abt this friend. she is meant to be. but if u really want to do something try to explain her these.
but be careful , u may fall in love with this girl . bcos it is normal for a good guy to c a girl doing too much for another and still u can not see her suffering.
She won change.!! forget her, even friendship! bcos it is not safe for u. U r a good guy. i can see that.!!! That girl will not take ur advice anyway. im sure.! Be cautious buddy!

it's hard when you have strong feelings for someone to see their faults. haven't you ever heard "love is blind" it's true. when you care about someone you want to believe that they care back and that they are everything you think they are. even if they are completely wrong with you. you can't really help who you have feelings for and that's what sucks. men and women both let relationships go on when they know they shouldn't for multiple reasons: comfort, they like having someone around, they don't feel like finding someone else, convenience, it's sad but true.

I know what you mean. If I feel that I'm doing all of the work, I'm leaving. I have been through too much rejection to stay in something like that.

eventually she will wake up, she has to do this on her own, you can not do it for her, just be there for her when she needs you (she will need you)
