Most of what you are reading in the responses are premillennial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.
This is a popular belief, but there are others that can be substantiated by the bible. We are probably going through the tribulation period now. When it started is speculative, when it ends the final judgment of everyone occurs.
Some sects, such as the folks over at http://worldwide.familyradio.org... believe the final judgment will be upon us sometime in mid-2011!

I don't ever want to discourage someone's beliefs and cause them to fall from God as a result. I would rather that they be challenged.
Is this the time of the final Revelation? Personally, I don't think it is. Why? A good question. The events that are shown in Revelation have been seen many many times in the recorded history of mankind since they were written. In fact the earliest of these times would have been when the Jewish people (Roman Christian Jews as well) were crushed by the Romans in 72-73AD. All of the signs, political head of state, etc. etc. were in perfect order with the Revelation in order for that to be the final conflagration. And yet here we are asking this question today. I like this question because it begs a much much larger question. What should we be doing so that these final days come and so that God can finally say "ENOUGH!" and allow this world to die in flames? The much larger question is what kind of life are we living for Him? Are we the 'branches of the Vine out there bearing fruit and growing the Kingdom of God'? Are we doing all we can to bring about the end of the world? (weird question, huh?) All that I mean is that are we leading people to the wonderful saving knowledge of Jesus crucified and His grace for them given on the Cross? Are we going out of our way to make sure that those around us are aware that Jesus rules our lives and that that is a good thing? Have those around you even heard of Jesus in any other way than as a sworn oath (curse word)? This is the bigger picture! If the end times come and you are not ready, if the end times come and you have not led people to Christ, if you are one of the people that cry out "Lord Lord did we not do many things in your name?", then do you really want it to be the end time? You might as well die quietly in your sleep and reap the same reward.
Do all you can to bring the end times about. That means living like God meant it. Live like you got the hell scared completely out of you!

The Book of Revelation was a war propaganda piece against Emperor Nero. It has already been finished. Revelation was not a prophetic book.
In this, it is almost exactly akin to the Book of Daniel, which is taken as Prophetic but yet actually described events in symbolic form that were happening around the time of its writing.

Yes, but it's important to remember, the Bible says that every generation will see signs, and the signs began when Jesus was crucified. Everything about our world is part of prophecy (increasing divorce rates, war, moral decline, even interest rates). However, it is still impossible to predict when exactly everything will be complete. The angels don't even know, only God does. Don't listen to all the people who try to tell you when the rapture, etc. will happen, they don't know. They can predict all they want, they don't know.

Iran's President blatantly spoke against Israel and this is clearly mentioned in the Bible. An entire group of Arab forces tied together by Radical Islam hatred is forming now. Keep your eyes on Israel, because if you miss the rapture of the church, you will go through the worst times in all of history.
