I can always tell a sore throat from an infection by gargling with peroxide. When you spit the peroxide out if it is a white & foamy then it is an infection and if it is clear then the chances are you just have a sore throat. Either way gargle with some mouthwash or peroxide and it will help relive the soreness and scratchy feeling.
