You can bake some cheese (on a Silpat non-stick baking mat) until it turns very crisp. Let it cool and you will have crunchy cheese croutons (or tuiles).

You can get crunch from veggies. Like green and red peppers. Or try chinese chow mein noodles that comes in a bag or box at the store. Just put a handfull on your salad. Very good. They are just plain crunchy noodles. Or there are many cereals out there that taste good atop of salads. Like fiberone or the yogurt clusters. All of these have no nuts.

Well, make sure you get that light green salad fresh from the store in soaked with water.. Mmm. You could defiantly use some croutons, though. Also, pepper is a good choice to put into your salad's. Hope this helps, keep shooting for those healthy foods!

Croutons, carrots and radishes are all very crunchy. How about sunflower seeds? Iceberg lettuce is crunchy too, but not as good for you as the darker green, leafier lettuces. The hearts are very crunchy though.

Try adding different kids of raw vegetables, try bacon bits, croutons, apples, pears, things like that, or believe it or not, if you use lemon juice over top of your salad, it adds extra crunch....

If you look in the grocery by the bacon bits they have ones that are dried and I think called Baco's. They will give a crunch.
