-Try to work out at least 3 times a week (don't kill yourself at it. Have a good mix of toning and cardio)
-Eat plenty of fruits and veggies (at least 5 servings each day)
-2-3 servings of dairy
-choose whole grains whenever possible.
-minimal sweets.
-drink at LEAST 48oz of water each day.
If you're concerned about staying on track, Weight Watchers is a good way to go. It's worked really well for me. And I have to commend you. 7 pounds in a month is perfectly reasonable! So many people are say stuff like "I want to lose 20 pounds in a month." Not really possible in most cases.

Do cardio for 40 minutes 4 or more times a week. Cut your calories in half. No regular pop or fast food. Make sure you eat a little something for breakfast to get your metabolism started for the day. I have been losing 2 pounds a week by doing this.

This is a GREAT program. I've lost almost 16 pounds and with the exception of a little bit of cheating....I don't get hungry on this diet. Their web site is fastweightlossforwomen.com. It's not just for women though! It was definitely worth the price and they respond to questions e-mailed to them.

Cut out all sugar and most carbs....you'd be surprised how much weight you can lose eliminating those 2 things....
