The technology for electric cars is far more advanced, plus you can charge them while at home in your garage. The distance between charges versus refuel of hydrogen is far greater and the whole system of setting up hydrogen fuel station would be far more extensive and costly versus setting up car pool charging areas. Also, your employers can set up charging at your place of work for long commuters. However, nine out of ten people would have their driving radius needs meet on a single charge of electric from their garage.
I see hydrogen technology being sold by the oil companies in hopes to make huge dollars in setting up hydrogen fuel stations and then being able to charge for the hydrogen.
