Vegetarians need to ensure that they get adequate protein and vitamin B12. Many get vitamin B12 shots regularily from their doctor. If the vegetarian eats a lot of tofu, nuts and beans they should be ok with protein but if not they need a protein supplement as well. I suggest whey protein over soya protein. It is more nutritionally complete. You can find whey protein bars and shakes at any health food store or order them online. Most grocery stores carry then now as well.
A vegetarian diet is very healthy if done properly, but can be very unhealthy if you are not careful. If you are thinking of becoming a vegetarian make sure to inform yourself about the nutritional aspects first.
There are some amazing vegetarian recipes on the internet and through books you can get at the library. Perhaps you can try a few and see how you feel. If you want some recipes that have been tried by others post a question in here and I can send you some. I'm sure others have some to contribute as well.
Many who start begin by changing one or two meals a week to vegetarian meals and progress from there.
Also check out sites on vegetarian nutrition requirements. Two are:

I wish you the best of luck.
