I am a black male and I can honestly say that at ONE POINT IN MY lIFE i REALLY KNEW NOT HOW TO lOVE A wOMAN. I just never use to look at women as people but just a lustful object. So I didn't care if I lied to them, I didn't care if I hurt them. But One day I gave my Life to Christ and I truly learned how to Love,
not just women but all those who had once hurt me and all those that help create this monster that I was. I am thankful for the Love of Christ because I am learning to Love that way. but we cannot generalize all black men. I myself am also a writer but I don't write books that exploit people- I write things that edify and encourage one to excel and succeed. When you write don't always look for the bad in people look for the Good and help those who don't understand why they act the way they do to make a change for the better..

Where do I begin.
Well, most of the guys I have devolped serious relationships with have been white or hispanic. Not because I prefer them, but because I can rarely put up with a black guy for more than a week.
Black men above all are overly concerned with some type of "image". Lots of people will answer this question and say most guys are like that; it's true; but black men are the absolute WORST.
It may be because many of them were raised without a father in the home; they may be slightly delusional as to what a man is supposed to be, and how he supposed to act. Consequently, their pathetic little homies on the street assume the role of a father figure; completely leading them astray. Their sisters become strong; because they grow up seeing their single mom struggle, and make it on their own. But a woman can not truly raise a man; and as a result, many of today's black men are spoiled, whiny little mama's boys who can hardly make it on their own. I'm 30 years old. I graduated high school, put myself through college, joined the military, served honorably, got out, got a job, and I support myself just fine. I've never been knocked up; no kids or abortions, no "baby's daddys". I'm a grown, successful woman who can live well without a man. My brother is 27. He's a drug dealer, and addict. He's been in and out of prison for the last 8 years. He never graduated from high school. He has no driver's license. He's violent, mean, and basically a loser. And we came from the same household; the difference was he had no father to teach him how to be a man; he learned from his "friends". Too many black men "learn" how to treat women from the worthless friends they make in the street; while other races of men learn from a hard working, respectable father who has been married for years. See the difference? Most black guys I meet fall into these categories: no job, no car, no respect for women, spoiled rotten mamas boy who thinks I'M going to take care of him. Pathetic, wouldn't you think? These are men who care more about buying a f@cking pair of sneakers than they do about paying the light bill. Then they blame it on white people. Hello? It's not the white man's fault you don't have electricity, dummy. Pay your f@cking bill! They are flat out irresponsible in EVERY aspect of their lives; and since "romance" is the least of their concerns, they are even more irresponsible in that arena. They don't even know what romance is; they learned from their homies that you're supposed to smack that @ss and knock them boots shorty! They have very little concept of dating and serious relationships. This is all my own opinion from my own experiences. Of course I know not ALL black men are like this; but there's quite a lot! I might also add that black women learn to despise black men early by seeing what a worthless, absent, useless piece of sh@t their fathers are. Sad, but very, very true. Good luck on the book. Nice to see a black man actually doing something with his life.

i am black...not knowing the true meaning of romance is an individual thing it has no bearing on colour, most men black or white have a poor understanding of true romance cos of inexperience or if their girl is not the responsive type during romance
