Rumors are the stuff old men trade from their rocking chairs, sitting safetly by their fires. If Lennox Lewis comes out of retirement to give Vitali Klitschko another fight, the blogbaba might just have to part with the price of a plane ticket and show up in person for that one. Two grand for a decent seat is a bargin. It would cement Lewis's legacy as a class act, and silence the boxing critics once and for all.
Believe me Lewis knows how bad of a beating he was taking better than anyone who watched it, and he would learn from his mistakes. Both fighters have had a great deal of down time, so ring rust and rest wouldn't be factors. I think Klitschko fought the fight of his life that night and got careless. Lewis under performed and was capable of a better showing.
If, and I stress the word "IF" a second fight ever takes place, I would have to take Lewis. Vitali could easily prove me wrong, and either way it would be a draw like no other, maybe even bigger than Oscar/Floyd.
Lewis by KO late rounds, say 8 or 9th.

Klitschko was handily beating Lewis before the referee stopped the bout due to a cut in Vitali's eye. I believe that it's the time of the new generation now. Lewis retired rather than giva Klitschko a rematch. I respect him for wanting to secure his legacy. Lewis a wise man.
In predicting this fight, I think it's Klitschko's turn to win. Lewis isn't getting any younger, anyway. That would double his chances of not walking away the victor. I see Klitschko taking the early rounds and most of the middle frames. Lewis will rally down late, but will end up short. It would be Klitschko via a close unanimous decision.

It's definitely not smart on Lewis' behalf if he decides to do it. His legacy is secure now. And boxing history is full of great heavyweights who didn't quit while they were ahead, came back and got their asses beaten in humiliating fashion... Ali and Tyson, to name a couple.
Lewis was a pretty dominating fighter in his time, but he's a few years older than Vitali, and that could make the difference. I would say that an in-shape Lewis could still whip most of the fighters out there (including Vitali's glass-jawed brother) but that Vitali - if he's capable of fighting the way he did just before he retired - is the best heavyweight around at this time. Klitschko by late round KO or TKO.

Lewis knows better than to come back and fight Vitali. The russian is the one who retired him in the first place. Lewis would not give him a rematch then and certainly wouldnt give him a rematch now.

Lewis is already a great boxer who doesn't need to come back to prove anything. He seems happy doing what he is doing. I hope he stays retired.

They both had a long layoff from the ring. i think vitali is the better boxer though. i never like lewis. If lewis is gonna come back I would like to see him fight Valuve. I think lewis can beat him, cause he clumsy and never fought anyone.
