You can't do anything. If the cat is really important to you, you have to tell him how important that is, if he's a nice guy he'd put up with it. Most cats are the type of pet that you could ignore and get away with it. They don't typically make much noise, and they only come around when they want to. If the cat doesn't like him and he doesn't like it then there should be no problem. If he's truly worried about damage to the apartment, you could allay that fear by hand writing an agreement that you consent to pay for any damage done by your cat. You sign it, he signs it, make a copy, give him the original, keep the copy. Any changes to it will then have to be in your handwriting, and initialed by both parties.

Sorry, but he is not a cat person, so you will either have to move out, or accept that you will not have any cats while you are in this relationship. Some people just aren't used to having house pets, and if he is not used to the cat by now, he is not going to like having her around.

GET RID OF THE BOYFRIEND.

I know that sounds harsh but look at it this way. What if your cat was a child? Would you get rid of it because a boyfriend didn't like it? He knew you had a cat when you first moved in. And don't get caught up in the "cats are animals, not people" thing.

My long-term boyfriend didn't like cats either. We finally moved in together and my cat was SO good about not coming in the bedroom - he didn't even try during the day when we weren't home. But he knew he wasn't wanted, and spent more and more of his time either on or under the daybed in the spare room. It was stressful for him and for me - I started to feel resentful that I felt guilty for spending time with my cat (who I had 15 years, far longer and more faithful than guys...). Non-pet people often don't (or are unable to) realize that this is a 4-legged member OF THE FAMILY.

Anyway, we finally called it quits for other reasons (and there were enuf of them...). But, seriously, first find a different place to live and then dump him. Really, really, really.

Probably nothing. I would be worried about her safety around him. He's saying some pretty evil things about her..............
Personally, I would move back into a place of your own. Keep your independence. He's trying to be controlling, and that's a big yellow caution sign.
You have had your kitten longer, and cats are less troublesome than men. I have 5 cats, and can't imagine dating a guy a second time if he made snide remarks about any of them.

You can't!!! It sounds like they have a mutual understanding. You will either have to move out and get another boyfriend so you can have your cat or just see your cat at your cousins. Simple as that.

Well obviously you should keep the cat because you had her first! And the guy you're dating obviously does'nt have the same interests as you if he doesnt like your cat! The cat probably doesnt like your bf as she has just had you and now she has to share you with him so shes jealous!

lots of cats are genrely one owner. depending how long your cat as known your boyfriend she may still be leary off him. i see it happen all to often at the shelter i volunteer for people getting rid of animal causes a new guy in some ones life. my boyfriends cat tolerates me but i never threatened once to throw her out cause i understand that he had her for two years and she is bonded to him. so i would say get rid of the guy. but thats cause i go with if u dont love my animal you dont love me.

She does not like him because she knows he does not like her. I would suggest moving out and keeping your beloved cat with you. The boyfriend sounds like a control freak and you hardly even know eachother...it's only going to get worse.

You are asking for trouble by sticking with this boyfriend. He is not willing to negotiate with you. Why should you have to give up your cat?? Move back to your place.
