She obviously likes me and I'm head over heels for this one. Thing is she told me it has to end cause there's too much friction between me and my friend. I'd rather be with her anyways.

There's not a lot you can do!! I'd leave it a while and let her see that you can all be freinds before pushing the relationship boat out again.

When she first met your friend did she know you also? If the answer is yes, then if she chose him over you, this is a good reason to stay away from her. also, how can you be with someone who in the past was in your friends's arms? she was holding and kissing him and now you are in his place. It sounds very bizarre.

Say this to her,

"I know that your ex is my best friend, but I can see you as my best girl, and you mean more to me then he ever could."

But you need to first talk with your best friend and see how he feels about you going after her. Must likely he won't mind. But if he does. You now need to determine who means more to you.
