I have used several different hair color products....but for the last year or two, it just doesn't matter, within a day or two, my grey hair return in full force around my hairline.... anyone use anything that really covers grey and the grey stays covered?
thanks!

I'm 46 now, and don't really want to just "let it go" but would rather do that, then attempt to color it, just to have it wash out in a few days.

it's not the shampoo, and I don't wash my hair right away..............I have done nothing "different."

Miss Clairol makes a line of haircolor that is specifically for 'grey resistant' hair. This may be what you need. Do you have a Sally Beauty Supply near you? I'm not sure if this product is professional only, but I buy the regular Miss Clairol there, and that's where I see it. I do have some grey to cover, and the regular Miss Clairol works really well, so I've never tried it. Also, check all the packages of haircolor at the drugstore and see if any of them say 'for grey resistant hair'; it's been so long since I've bought color at the drugstore, I don't know what's out there now. You could also call the helpline # (or email) a company that makes color and ask for their advice (Clairol, L'Oreal, Revlon, etc.).

I would recommend going to a professional. Grey hair almost always becomes more resistant to chemicals than normal hair. Also, what type of color are you using?? If your using a semi or demi permanent vs. a permanent that might be the reason why you color doesn't last.

Once your stylist evaluates your hair they can probably recommend an athome product for in between visits.

Hope this helps.

Use a good quality hair colour ( I like L'oreal) , leave it on longer and use a neutral colour because golden , red or ash colours tend not to hold onto white hair
