Yeah ,you don't need a credit card ,you might just be able to use your bank account number, but if you have a bank account, they probably issued you one anyway. Use that if you need it .

you don't need a credit card to sell individual items on ebay - people can send you payment by cheque instead.

and you can use paypal as long as you have a bank account - they pay 3 small smounts into your account then take them out again and you have to tell paypal which amounts were paid in to verify that it is your account. this is the way they used to do it anyway - i have sold things on ebay and i have a paypal account but have never had to give any credit card details, only bank account details.

no you need some kind of paying method. You cant use cash in ebay. Try using paypal but even in that you need to register with some sort of credit card, debit card etc.

I was told by E-Bay that beacuse "98% of the population has access to Credit/Debit cards, it is not unfair to need to have one to sell on E-Bay" I bit the bullet and got a £200 limit Capital One card so I could register as a Seller.

You can't get anyone's permission to use theirs either, it has to be in your name. Do you have a Debit card? I think those count.

Ermmm, not sure I sell all kinda junk on there! You could ask your bank for a debit card & if you don't have an overdraft on your bank account then you can only spend the money that you have in there, so it shouldn't cause any personal finance pickles either

Nope - think you need the card to set up your selling account. You could try contacting ebay to see if they can give you some advice (but it usually takes them a while to respond so you need to be patient). Good luck - if you're unable to join you can probably do just as well at a car boot sale.

Nope, no credit card needed for either ebay or paypal. Once you have opened your paypal account you can recieve payments by credit card.

Go for it

No, you don't need one. However, to set up a paypal account, you would need one so buyers can pay by their own card. You would receive a lot more bids on your items as this is the faster, mroe convenient way of paying.

I think you need a CC. This is to establish repoire with eBay and the community. And to prove that you are over 18 years of age.
