In a chat rm online, they said they were going to beat me up,
can the police find out who?Can they find out who it was I mean!
please help I'm scared!

Jeez....there are many people that talk bad online. kind of like gradeschool when someone said they were going to beat someone else up when they KNEW that they couldn't at that time (ie...the teacher was around)

Some people talk big on the net bc in real life they are weak and it let's them get their frustration out.

Let them talk...unless you weren't very smart and let someone get your personal information, they in reality probably don't even know where you live.

Print out the conversation you had with this person and bring it to the police . they can help and most likely it is someone young and stupid.The police can give you info on who it was a nd weather it is a serious threat or no Get the police involved it will shock the **** out of the person who threatened you . It will also have him think twice about doing that to anyone else . Good luck.

That is considered Aggravated Harrassment. However, is a hard item to pin on someone for just saying they are going to beat you up. I am in no way stating you shouldn't call, its best to call and get advice from your local pd, but there is no way to pin point exactly who did the threatening either.
