i'm not quite sure what a "blue" beagle is but i used to have a beagle of the regular variety! the thing to do is make sure your pets are well exercised. my beagle used to go on about 3 walks a day. (of course, you don't want to over-exercise them either but that's typically not the problem). make sure your dogs have safe doggie toys in the yard to play with which will hopefully occupy their attention instead of digging. you may have to teach them how to play...you know...throw the toys and try to get them to retreive it. if you catch them IN THE ACT of digging, say "NO!" but do not ever, ever hurt them. digging is part of a dog's instinct after all and they are not doing it because they are bent on destruction =)

First off:
Blue occurs as a dilute of the normal Tri-color gene, but can be changed in color depth by the same modifier genes which govern the depth of color on the Reds from Lemon to Mahogany. Quite often such dilutes will have lighter eyes, some even almost yellow, although this too is influenced by modifying genes just as in the normal tri-color dog. There will be a slight bluish cast to the saddle area of the coat. The dog would be described as Brown, Blue and White.

Now you know how to dispose of the dog waste from your yard. Burying it in the holes really does work. But with Beagles it will take a little time for them to get the message. (especially with two of them.)

First, do they do this in front of you?
If they do, then this is easy!

Get a kitchen towel, roll it up, rubber band each side. Stand to the side, watch the dogs. When they begin to dig, yell NO, loud, and clear, then count to 30, throw the towel at their butts. Just let it smack them, then go get the towel.. dont' let them make it into a toy. You may want to work with one dog at a time...
Continue doing this until they realize NO means no.

The towel won't hurt them, just surprise them.
They will learn if they dig, they get smacked.

Another way I was taught years ago with my own beagle was to put a set mouse trap in a hole she loved to dig and dig in.. the trap would spring when she hit it, and the "snap" noise would scare her. I never did it, but was told it wouldn't hurt her.
I always thought "but it kills a mouse!"--

go for the towel.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUNGh

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

It takes time to train a dog not to do something like that. Beagles are instinctively hunting dogs and have superior sense of smell. They need your assistance with the leash to pull them away when they start. Tell them "no" loudly each time they do this. Then offer praise as you walk them away from the spot. With persistence, you may get them to stop. If they strike gold or find treasure encourage them to continue though.

Bury feces in the yard where they dig. Once they hit it they will stop. They HATE getting feces on their paws. Just don't forget to wash their paws than. It may take a few times for them to get the hint but it worked on my Beagle.

I would say, take them out to do their biz, then bring them back in.....don't leave them alone in the yard.
