My problem is that I like my best friends's brother. I think he may like me to, but he keeps sending me these mixed signals. One day I am , yes he likes me, the other he appears to be indifferent. I am wondering, if he does like me, is he not making a move because I am his sister's best friend?

I say go for it. Many years ago, I was in the same situation with my best friend and his sister. My buddy, Floyd, told me that he would never allow anything to go on between his sister and me because he didn't know how he would handle it. I liked his sister but was not sure if she like me. After about a month of Floyd teasing me and telling me that Joni did indeed like me but was afraid to say anything because Floyd and I were best friends, I confronted her at a party. Little did I know, Floyd was telling the truth. She did like me. I went to Floyd and told him that I was going to go out with his sister and that if he had a problem, then we would have to work it out. To my surprise, he told both of us that he would support us no matter what the outcome. As it turned out, Joni and I dated for 3 - 4 years, and we were thinking about what we were going to do after school. That was when it all fell apart. My dad got promoted, and transferred, and we ended up moving over 9 hours away. Needless to say, being that far away was a severe detriment to our relationship, not to mention not having my own car to be able to take off whenever I wanted. Eventually, we went our separate ways and never ended up together.

But, on a good note, we do talk to each other several times a year. I still go back to the old haunts about 5 - 6 times a year, and we get together with our families and are great friends to this day.

Life is too short to wonder, "What if?" Be honest and open, even though it makes you vulnerable. You'll never be able to experience life unless you do that. Trust your feelings.

Could be...some boys are kinda dumb that way. There should not be a problem though. Maybe you should just let him know you like him and see what happens.
Note: you might want to see how your best friend feels about you liking her brother and think about the consequences if you did get together and it did not work out...how would this effect the relationship between you and your best friend?

be cool...

I would not, you don't want to cause problems between them if you guys don't work out. Don't do it. Best of luck.

Could well be. You'll have to encourage him more. I'd date my sister's best friend ......if she was hot.

i wouldn't because me & my sister have a big age difference & it would be weird for her to have a friend my age & weird for me to date someone her age.
