First, find out what Ross means and then look up that word in an English-.Arabic dictionary. Make sure that it is not a feminine word.

If you just want to transliterate it, rather than translate it, it would be pronounced something like Roos and be spelled روس.

Hi Ross,
I am still learning Arabic & try my best to make it right.
I use this Arabic dictionary: when you open it, you will find a small gray box. Just type the English word you need & enter.
This great dictionary will give you all verbs in Arabic.

& your name in Arabic is: روس

You may well have arabic blood in your veins. Arabs settled in Sicily many centuries ago, I'm sure some modern Italians carry their genes still, you may be one of them. Anyway, the fact that you look arabic doesn't mean that Italians and Arabs are related. In Italy there are hundreds of thousands of Italians blonde with light eyes.

Well Ross,I like this name so much.In Arabic it would be spelled "رُوس" and it pronounced the same as English .And it doesn't mean rice at all !
your name means" promontory " we don't have an equivalent name in Arabic because the translation of "promontory" would be a sentence ...lol
** In Arabic we use vowel marks instead of using a letter form so the small mark over your name " ُ " it's over the first letter to indicate lip rounding ,as in " o " vowel + the main vowel which is written as " و ".
Hope it helps.
