If its more romance you want and less cooking, then I would suggest getting food that you could both share - shell some fat prawns, cooked asparagus, potato wedges, crudites, some fab dips followed by a bowl of melted choc with strawberries & marshmallows - feed them to each other! Definitely arrange some twinkly lights and candles and cushions, massage oil at the ready and strap on those Nike's and run upstairs after each other! Enjoy!!!

Hopefully you know how to make spaghetti. Well, this is really good. I take a jar of spaghetti sauce, any brand or flavor will do, whatever you guys like. Not the white cheese sauce, use the red sauce. Get a pack of italian sausages and precook them in boiling water for 20 minutes then slice them into slices, you can also fry them in a frying pan before slicing. Sometimes I add a can of mushrooms in there too because we like them. Cook the spaghetti noodles and just put this on top. This would be great with salad and some italian bread or garlic bread or toast.

I add this spice mix to my spaghetti sauce, too, but you don't have to.

¼ c. cornstarch or flour
¼ c. minced onions
¼ c. dried parsley flakes
2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. garlic powder

If you want something a little more elegant, these chicken breasts are great too. I'd make them with a can of vegetables and a grain--twice baked potatoes, baked potatoes, flavored rice, etc.

8 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon parsley, dried
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

1. Combine all spices. (all ingredients except first two-chicken and butter.).

2. Arrange chicken in shallow baking dish.

3. Melt butter and pour over chicken.

4. Turn chicken pieces over so both sides are coated with butter. (I use a tongs for this.).

5. Sprinkle chicken with about 1/4 of the spices.

6. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Every 10-15 minutes, sprinkle another 1/4 of the spices on the chicken pieces.

I have a very easy recipie that i made up for string beans:

Spray a skillet with Pam, butter or Olive Oil (all work)
Put the stringbeans in a pan on medium high
Add a 1/3 cup of white cooking wine with lemon or your favorite white wine
Mince 3 cloves of garlic and add those to the mix.
Stir and cook until the garlic is golden brown, and the beans are the equivalent of a pasta's al dente

ENJOY and Happy Anniversary :)

HOw about:

appetizer
Spinich fruit salad

Entre
BAked lemon pepper chicken thigh
Homemade butter garlic mashed potatoes
Baby carrots

Dessert
Apple Pie a la mode

Don't fret here are the recipes

Appetizer
Fresh spinich washed and stems cut off
1/2 lb of fresh strawberries - cut the stem off and then slice the strawberries length wise
1 small pack of blueberries
Combine in big bowl and top with Emeril's Raspberry vinegret

Entre
Season chicken thigh with salt, pepper, seasoning salt, lemon pepper seasoning, (all in grocery store seasoning isle)
Rub the seasonings into the chicken so that the skin has all the seasoning. Then when you bake for 40 minutes of 375, place the thighs on a rack so that the fat will drip to thebottom of the pan and the chicken won't sit in it while its cooking. the chicken will be so moist adn tender (trust me)

For the mashed pototoes, boil 3-4 potatoes in a pot until soft or easy to mash. Then pour out water, mash potatoes with fork, masher, spoon etc. Then pour milk, butter and garlic powder (grocery store) and mix together. Use as much or little milk as you want for th consistency of potaoes that you like.

a snmall bag of baby carrots - boil on stove with until soft, drain water and add whatever seasonig you like. I like to mely alittle bit of brown sugar and drizzle it over the carrots.

Dessert
A grocery store apple pie and some ice cream.

Have fun

god, it was my wedding anniversery yeaterday and i have a 1 and 2 yr old and had to cook something quick and easy.

i made a tex mex pasta- if you like mexican food then id go for it.

basically, dice up beef and throw into a pan and let cook until browning and chewy, then shake a little curry powder over the meat and stir. add as much as your liking.

then chop up an onion and pepper and throw it in the pan.

boil the pasta bow ties in another pan with water.

when brown add the salsa sauce into the pan with meat. i buy the salsa dips that you can eat with doritoes. id buy two incase need more juice. if its still a little dry add in a tin of chopped tomatoes.

when pasta done, drain and dish up with the sause on top and a dollop of sour cream or natural yoghurt on top.

serve with garlic bread, have a nice evening

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMEVl

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

If you really aren't very good in the kitchen then this is the easiest dish I know and its gorgeous, about 600gms or 1lb pork loin cut into thin discs, about 150 sliced mushroom, 2-3 cloves garlic(optional if you are going to snog) approx 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 Tablespoon tomatoe puree, approx 150mils cream, 200 mils chicken or veg stock from a cube, salt pepper, p[inch of sugar (to balance the slight accidity from the puree) boiled rice to serve

Fry mushrooms and garlic in a little oil and butter, remove from pan, add pork and fry for 2 mins add puree and paprika and fry for a further couple of mins, add sugar and stock, reduce by approx half, add cream simmer very gently for approx 5 mins, season and serve with rice.

Strawberries served with whipped double cream and then topped with crushed ameretto biscuits.
