It is valid for a limited period.I live in Turkey and though many ex pats drive on their UK licences it is illegal I am not sure if it is up to 6months or a year .It was first pointed out to me by the British consulate in Bodrum who say they have had people in tears when after serious road accidents people have huge claims against them but their insurance is void because their licence is not legal.People get away with it and when stopped by police the police either don't know or cant be bothered but I assure you people who I know have been fined for no licence and insurance when using UK licence.
You can get a Turkish licence .Its a matter of the usual Turkish bureaucracy and a cash payment if you produce your UK licence,no test.

A uk license is valid for up to 6 months. After that you have to get an official translation then get it notorised

It is valid in Turkiye. My boyfriend is British living in Istanbul and he drives with UK driving licence.

i would say no because it is a uk one but saying that people hire cars out there so its probably valid for that but not for any thing else
