I find them in my dogs ears, in between their toes, on their bellies. I used different soaps and shampoos. The ticks just won't go away! What should I do?

Frontline from the vet will do the trick. It is different from the stuff you can buy at the market. It actually absorbs into the dogs system and can not wash off or wear off. It will kill everything on the dog in a day(only a few hours really), and then work well as a repellant. Even if the dog gets a flea or tick on it later, that bug will die first time it bites the dog.

You should also treat your yard, fleas and ticks live in the lawn and in trees. So spraying the yard down good with an insect killer will help with the problem a lot too.

I usually manually pick the tick off my dog. I also keep a glass jar that is filled with alcohol to put the ticks in that I have picked off. I know it is gross - but you really must get a handle on the ticks first.
The next thing I would do is to wash my dog with a good quality shampoo ( like baby shampoo) and make sure that all of the shampoo is gone and then I dip them with the dip that you get from the vets office. Repeat the process every coulpe of weeks as necessary.
The other thing you MUST do is to spray your yard with maliathion or diazion (not sure of the spellings)

If dog soaps and shampoos don't work anymore try getting the ticks manually. Yes, it's iccky but it worked for my dogs. You have to pay attention to those between the toes and ears. I keep a stone beside me when I pick the ticks and squash them with the stone. That way I know they are dead.

take the dog to a groomer and get the dog dip and then two days later use Front line or one of the things like that on the dog and also treat your yard for tick and fleas.
