What are the benefits of honey versus sugar?

Yes -but that's not to say that there is anything validated about the badness of sugar.
Honey is nature's antibiotic and was used in the early twentieth century and before as a healing compound for open wounds.I don't feel that all of its health giving properties have been fully looked at.
Sugar on the other hand,does engender a body of opinion that whilst not cancer causing -provides a fertile environment for tumor growth.
So if it's one or the other than it's honey for me.

Personally I like my Honey to give me a little sugar..

from reading extensively and hoping----- sad to report there is no differences both are just sugar; honey has flavour which does mean that you need less to be able to taste sweetness and reports on nutrition that( for heath) we need very little sugar if any as sugar,sucrose,honey.. are just calories with no nutritional benefits... maybe good for bees but not for humans perhaps humans are just sweet enough lol

I think bearbrain is right. Also, honey has some vitamins and other nutrients as well as enzymes, so it's not only 'empty' calories from sugar but it also contains something that's actually good for your body.

Sugar and Honey , = same chemical Composition. Both are equal harmful or equal good for yr body. No big difference except flavour, colour etc.

Yes. Honey is hefty and it also tastes good. And sugar is not so hefty, and if you it a lot, it makes you fat. So just use sugar if you are out of honey.
