Faith is the basic foundation of life. It is the faith in the mother that you recognize your father when she says so. Again even for small matters you have faith. If you travel by car, bus or train or airplane you impose your faith on the driving skills of the people and you also have faith that you will reach your destination. When you take food anywhere, you have faith in the quality of food etc. When you undertake any task you have faith in yourself. When things go beyond your power and control, you repose your faith on Almighty and start praying. So for everything in this world faith is vital. Even the astronauts who travel in space have faith in the navigation systems and communication system and their link to the base station. Without faith you can not dream of to morrow and hope for any future fortune. Hence have faith in yourself as well as God- best wishes nagarajan.

Simple and basic answer...

Satan WILL attack you. That is for certain. There will be a lot of methods he'll use.... all circled around a lie.

He'll make you think you don't have friends, that life is all about pleasing yourself, that you have no limits, that as long as you smile all is well, that you can fool anyone to get what you want, that lying is okay, that you are your own person, and no one will treat you better than yourself so watch your back. He'll also use the words in the bible to benefit his abuse on you. Sometimes this will be done by others that he sends to you.

Now, if you didn't have spiritual support that would take it's toll on you, and you can slip up and believe in his tricks.

But, faith in God, offers a special sense to be able to avoid those deceptive tactics. Faith in God will tell you that, even if you aren't rich, good looking, sleeping around, acting out of character, or being selfish, you are still a blessing to others (along with yourself).

Things won't always happen our way, but faith tells us (and shows us) that any event was in our best interest.

That's as basic as I can take it.

Many here will tell you that it isn't, but ironically they have faith as well. Religious ideologies aside, everyone has faith in something. For example:

When you walk into a building, you have faith that the architects, engineers, contractors and so forth got the process right, and that the building won't collapse on top of you. If you lacked such faith, you'd be a nervous wreck everytime you walked inside of one.

When driving or riding in a vehicle, you have faith that it was manufactured correctly and won't go up in a big ball of flames. Otherwise, you'd never ride in a motorized vehicle, prefering to walk everywhere instead.

Hence, even though many here will deny having any faith whatsoever, they still have it in something.

Think about getting married.

If you were a woman, you could be told how great a guy is. You could be shown his bank statements so that you can see he has a good income. You could be driven by his house so that you could see he has a nice home. You can have listed all the good deeds he has done to help others, so that you know he is helpful and a good provider. You could have testimony after testimony of how good, kind and gentle the man is. BUT you probably would not consent to marry him until you first experienced him yourself and came to love him.

You could have all the facts in the world, and it is just head knowledge. Before you would actually commit with that person, you need to have a heart connection.

God does not start with a "head" connection with people. He starts with a "heart" connection. You can have all the head knowledge in the world about God, and never meet or know him. That takes "heart" knowledge. Once he has the "heart", the "head" comes along for free.

So faith is important because it is a "heart" connection with God. It is knowing God, not just knowing about God.

Faith is a gift. It is important because without faith we cannot believe in God. If we do not believe in God, we cannot love Him. If we do not love God we cannot serve Him. If we do not serve Him, we cannot go to heaven. If we do not go to heaven, we might go to hell. If we go to hell, it is eternal fire for all eternity forever and ever. So faith is important to avoid hell. Faith is important to get to know, love and serve God so that we can be happy with Him in heaven. Faith is important to find meaning in life. Faith is important so that we know where we came from and where we are going. Faith is important so that our life has direction. We must have faith in God so that we can love God and our neighbor. If we do not have faith, it is not easy to do good and avoid evil. If we do not have faith, it is difficult to love people. If we do not have faith we do not know where to lead people and our children. If we do not have faith, we do not know the truth about ourselves, about God, about our souls, about the universe. We will not know about the essential things in life. Our life will have no meaning. Our life will be frivolous and trivial. We will be lost and afraid and feel unloved. I can go on and on but maybe this is enough for today. God bless you and keep you safe. PS. I hope I didn't offend anybody, if I did it was not intentional. Sorry if I offended anyone I was just speaking from my experience. I might be wrong. We don't have all the answers.

Faith is the evidence of things unseen the substance of things hoped for.

You cannot understand the things of God, if you do not have faith. And you will become like all the other people who bash God and believers---simply because you will not understand. The things of God are foolishness unto men. Faith is the receiving point for anything which comes from God.

Faith is an excuse for mental laziness.
The first people in the world to insist on faith as an essential part of religion were christians. They had to do this because christian doctrine is intrinsically absurd.

That is the reason faith is so important.

I'm no expert on the subject, but according to the christian religion, it's important inorder to have fellowship with God.

You decide if it's important to YOU.

Don't be swayed by the little judgmental computer weenies on here. Those hypocrites have "faith" in the things they see.
