anger is very self destructive and achieves nothing, forgive, meditate and answer your family calmly without biting at their negative remarks, talk positively and praise their good points you will see a change but it takes time.

I don't know the solution but I know what I would do. I'd move away from wherever you are and go to live in the country. I'd surround myself with beautiful things, read beautiful books, swim in the sea and paint. I'd be silent until I was calm. Of all things, nature, beauty and peace are the best healers. I realise that it might be hard to cut those ties but soothe yourself first, then look to saving the others.
Blessed be.

i am sorry for you, but you are choosing it, we all do sometimes, take responsibility for your part. it's embarrassing to admit that we are what is wrong with our lives, but if you want to be happy the first thing to do is stop blaming other people. forgiveness is not a requirement for moving forward, though it does tend to happen when you quit thinking everything is someone else's fault and really take control of your life.

You said it - forgiveness takes away resentment and hurt, but with all that history it aint easy. try being nice to yourself first and forgiving your own angry outbursts, if you can, keep a diary of your successes so that when you look back on them you will be encouraged.

You will not be able to forgive your family until you are forgiven by God. Get saved and read the Bible. I know, trust me.
