BASHING IS INTENDED TO BE LITTLE OR INSULT. IT NEVER PRODUCES A GOOD RESULT. IT ONLY INCITES ANGER. Great question

like comedy, it's all in the delivery:

questioning: what do you think about god? or why did you convert to judaism?
scrutiny: why would you think there's a god? or why would you convert to judaism?
bashing: why can't you think for yourself? or why did you turn your back on christ?

of course, when asked with a closed mind, they are exactly the same . . . . .

good question : )

bashing to me is when u call a believer names or atheist names. questioning would be to ask a question about beliefs or explain a bible verse. i am a believer.

Example:
Questioning: How many non-believers have read the bible cover to cover?

Bashing: Isn't is amazing how non-believers talk about the bible but they haven't ever read it.. these idiots don't know what they're talking about.

Bashing--trying to convince someone that their beliefs are wrong or stupid. Questioning--using your brain to delve deeper into what you believe.

When people start refering to God as a "sky fairy" or when they start using insulting terms in attempts to demonize believers and religion alike.
