I just ate Cream of Wheat with a sell by date of March 1997. It tasted salty. Does Cream of Wheat go bad?

It will go bad but if it wasn't "crawling"before you mowed it down you should be fine.

Yes it goes rancid. Hope you don't get food poisoning or parasites. Yuk.

I think that if it has a expiration date it is because it goes bad! :S
