Since your question implies you are not from Boston, why don't you cook her a dish from the region you're from? She would probably appreciate a change from her "regular" diet, and it is a way to share your life experience with her. That would make her feel special!

Buy a package of fresh, refrigerated pasta, a jar of alfredo sauce and chicken breasts. Saute' cut up chicken breasts in a little olive oil, when browned add the alfredo sauce and turn heat down to very low. Make pasta and serve. You could also get those Pillsbury bread sticks and bake those up as well.
Super easy and delicious.

I am from the Philippines and I would like to share you one of our best recipes here. It's called "Adobong Manok"
It's simple. Just buy chicken, marinate it with garlic, onion, pepper, soy sauce and lemon for 15 minutes.
Saute garlic and onion. put chicken and the marinate sauce. leave it until the chicken is tender. cook for about 30 mins. and "whalla!" ready to serve!
Actually, anything that you cook will please her just serve it with all your heart and i'm sure she'll appreciate that.
