Yes - they can apply the judgement to you if you don't turn up at court - then when you do find a job the payments will be made in retrospect and deducted from your earnings - to be honest you are better off facing the music and trying to agree repayment terms - even at £5 a week - they will get you in the end

yes I knew a lass years ago who was always on the run!!! but they did do a attachment to her benefits and she ended up paying a lot more back due to all the court charges.
plus it is theft (if you don't pay it back) so they can get the police invloved as I also new anouther lad who had lots of parking fines and he ended up with a warrent for arrest.
If I was you I would contact them and offer a few quid a week etc.

They can look on experian or equifax and see where you are living by financial commitments you have RECENTLY applied for, they can look for you through job applications.. its quite scary when you think about it, sometimes, just by GOOGLING your name
Trust me, they will find you, eventually, when they do, there will be more costs to pay, especially court fees and interest fees

they can find where you are living from various sources benefits departments/tax office etc
