Ok, from what I understand babies and young children get a free pass to get to heaven because of their innocence or whatever. So when god destroyed the world in a flood didnt he kill a bunch of innocents? If you tell me that he knew before hand what they would grow up to be then are you saying that all the babies and children that die are going to grow up in christ?

Howdy there.
Yes the Great flood is an interesting biblical story,
and yeah what about all those 'innocent' children. This event occured in the times of the writings of the old testament, and at a period where God said that children where also responsible for their parents sin and mistakes.
Then Later on into the book of Ezekiel (see chapter 18) God ensures that the people now understand that everyone is solely responsible for their own sin.
But still, why did the children die, well God had to totally wipe out the race and start again.. it must be likened to the removal of a cancer in a body, no matter what,, it must be totally removed for it is inherently bad, and will only replicate itself... more bad.
This is the cycle that the people of this era where stuck in, and God searched across the world, and found only wickedness, the people had become so corrupt, that they only "thought about evil all the time".
They had to be wiped out, And God new what was best.
Thankfully there was Faithful old Noah and his family, even then Noah was not perfect, getting drunk as a skunk, and passing out naked (See Genesis)

real good question.
First of all, there is no free pass to heaven. The bible is very clear that God will choose or "buy" out persons of this world to be in heaven. They are a select few. No if's or but's about it.
Next, God would have known that the children would have continued to act like their parents and not obey Gods laws, rule and regulations. God clearly gave ample warning to those living at that time. If you also read the bible, it is the parents that are responsible to teach their children.
Like God had done after the flood, he allowed the nation of Israel to destroy men, women, and children, and livestock. why? same thing, they refused to pay attention to Gods instruction.
Last, for those children like today that die, God may give them the opportunity to make an intelligent decision, by means of the bible teaching the resurrection. Which means God is not cruel, he is loving.

Well thought out question; good for you.
We are not specifically told about the innocents, but we can easily infer that there were children who died in the Flood.
We also know, specifically this time, know that God cares about children, and even animals like livestock. Jonah 4:11 "Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?"
Jesus was even more concerned about the children. When the Disciples tried to forbid them coming to Him:
Mark 10:14-16
But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. [15] "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." [16] And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.
Why the children died in the Flood, well, we are not told why. Sorry, but God is not answerable to us, it is we that are answerable to Him.
Responsibility for their deaths must lay upon their parents, and not the innocents or on God. The children were not the active sinners, the parents were. God is righteous, and the Judge of the earth Genesis 18:25
"Far be it from You to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?"
God could not tolerate the gross sins of the Anti-Deluvian people:
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5
Job tried taking God to task for his problems, look at the answer he got from God in the closing chapters of the book of Job!
Sorry, but there is not much help here.

You can not twist the true thought around, you try so hard to twist scriptures round & you don't even know how to do that, Us Christins said that a child goes to heaven if they died right now, Not in the future or in the far pass. There is some children that God killed to wipe out the traces of sin, men, women & Childrens,For instance the Flood, For instance when they made fun of Elisha for being bald headed, & also when God destroy Sodom & gormorrah, & it will also be at his coming. But Right Now, today 2-27-07 is a different situation. Yes many of those arabs Children that curse Israel is going to hell, & so will those who dies in the Milluennium, because in the millennium it says a Child shall live out his days of 100 yrs. That is the only death in the millennium & that is the death of disobedience. So you have to know how & when to place those situations, & it look like you don't know how.

No, not at all.
The death of a child might be a very merciful thing because had the child grown up in the sin of the Pre-Noah culture, it would surely have suffered the eternal wrath of God. If the "age of accountability" notion is correct, then God delivered them into His hands and it is possible that by this they were spared eternal damnation.
The final and most important reason for their destruction is that God needed to keep the messianic line pure so that Jesus could be born and thereby redeem His people so that believers could go to heaven. Without Jesus' sacrifice, all would be damned. If the Noah's day were allowed to live, surely they would have influence the Jewish nation in a harmful way thereby threatening the arrival of the Messiah. Therefore, God in His righteous judgment executed judgment upon them.

Good question.....Have you considered that this was prior to Jesus. The OT God seems to me to have been a lot more vengeful. Not only was there the flood, but also the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah, and much more. Maybe it could have been related to the unevolved religious beliefs of people of this era. Maybe these were just natural disasters of some sort, and people had to blame them on something.

Killing them is wrong.
