LOL! Seriously, your dog probably isn't that concerned since canines aren't generally as vain as homosapiens. Now if we could all evolve to act a bit more like our pets that might be a good thing. I would rather spend time with my animals than with a lot of humans I know.

It's not eventually, it's from the start! We choose pets as a reflection of our perceived qualities--that's what appeals to us--like we choose a mate. So if your personality and physical characteristics, for the most part, are that of a bulldog, the resemblance is fairly obvious.

That is what they say, but mostly people buy pets that look like them for some reason. Poor dog.

People do tend to choose pets that bear some resemblence to them- be it appearance or personality...if you don't look like your pet now, I wouldn't waste any time worrying about it!

This question was posted before. Like you I didn't find it comforting. I own Saint Bernards, does that mean I am destine to be Big, losing hair constantly, and drooling with saggy jaws? I sure hope its an old wives tale. LOL
On the flip side I also own Pekes and Labs. Hope I look like one of them instead.

stop worrying: talk to the dog and calm him down. How can you be so cruel by worrying the poor animal? It is only just pure coincidence although quite amazing how often it happens. My cat is very hansome the only thing left of his masculinity. It's a worry now you have started even me worrying as I should have got a female cat.......
