My view is that no person is ugly... if they take care of their looks and their style they cant be ugly.. they might not be pretty or attractive..but ugliness is actually a very subjective matter.. and if the "ugly" person thinks he is ugly then ppl will look at him as one... the mechanism u r saying is, in my view, just the idea they have of themselves and that they r convinsed that they will not have a partner so they kinda deal with it and dont mind cz they "already know" .. this is just wrong though... if ppl feel they r beautiful then they are....

There is a right man for the right woman out there, one may be beautiful outside but with an evil heart. Beauty does not guerantee boyfriend but good behaviour does.

Well do pretty girls have a mechanism to cope with aging and realising one day that when their beauty fades, they have very little to offer the world. Being beautiful and using it a means to degrade those who don’t match up is truly the ugliest of all.
Being beautiful is a gift, misuse it and you will loose it.

Actually I know a lot of guys that won't date hot girls (they will have sex with them but not a relationship) because they say hot girls are to high maintainance, and they constantly get hit on by other guys.

Why don't you tell us about it?
(did you ever hear "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" who are you to judge beauty... also beauty is found within, some people actually fall in love w/the person's inner beauty and not their physical appearance.)
